Bluetails and black-headed gulls

To southwest Cheung Chau - path above harbourside, and below cemetery - to look for bird a couple of friends saw yesterday, and identified as Fukien Niltava, which is rare in Hong Kong (I've see one on Cheung Chau, back in the late 80s).
Didn't see niltava; but one or two red-flanked bluetails, which are somewhat uncommon winter visitors on Cheung Chau. First a female or young male. The other a male; blue above, orange below (on sides at least, tail flicked - well, very fast view and I reckoned bluetail rather than niltava.
Below, saw Common Black-headed Gulls in the harbour: at least 25. A very common winter bird at Mai Po/Deep Bay, but I can't remember seeing this species on Cheung Chau (checking my list of island birds, I have done, maybe years ago).
A smattering of other migrants recently, mostly southeast Cheung Chau, inc a black-naped monarch, one or two red-tailed robins, up to three fork-tailed sunbirds (seem to be winter visitors to Cheung Chau). A greater necklaced laughingthrush in Fa Peng valley not a migrant; perhaps an escaped cage bird.
