The porpoises and the laughingthrush

I again headed to se Chaung Chau in hopes of seeing passage migrants this morning - weather seemed promising, with easterlies, overcast morning w some rain.

No birds to be seen over the sea, though I did see at least two Finless Porpoises - locally scarce animals, which appear a little like big tyres bobbing to surface then vanishing.

A Hair-crested Drongo was singing at the top of Fa Peng valley (hmm... may breed), where I also saw a Greater Necklaced Laughingthrush - my first for the island, though probably escaped/released from captivity, as this is a chiefly sedentary species, scarce in forests of New Territories.

Also two Chinese Starlings on roof of house by Pak Tei Temple: perhaps could breed there.
