Walked southeast Cheung Chau this aft: saw two male Japanese THrushes just above Kwun Yam Wan, heard a Siberian Rubythroat; also five or so unidentified thrushes - but no Yellow-browed or Pallas's Warblers.

Lately, been a smattering of such birds - occasional Japanese Thrush, bluetail etc; yet no major numbers. Only one Yellow-browed Warbler in past few days: maybe most have gone or died w protracted cold. Yet, nearby Chi Ma Wan to Pui O holding good numbers of birds - went three days ago, and good nos thrushes, bluetails, Daurian restarts, red-tailed robins: maybe the buffalo dung/wetland (for sure) helps: more insects etc, even during extremely long cold spell.
