Though the Bun Festival's most famous, there are plenty of other festivals on Cheung Chau - including to celebrate Tin Hau and Mid-autumn, and the Dragon Boat Festival.
Last Sunday (15 July), just happened to be by waterfront when there was parade to celebrate 10th anniversary of the handover of Hong Kong to China.
Echoes of main Bun Festival parade; one difference - it was in the evening, when cooler, rather than the hottest part of the day: good for those watching, but surely also for participants.
A few photos here.
